Symptoms and effects of binge eating disorder

Binge eating disorder causes are due to many things, although it cannot be precise as a result of one or the other. People of all weights and sizes could experience “BED,” and it could disrupt their personal and professional lives.

Binge eating disorder causes can also be a result of stress or the trauma of loss. The eating disorder could occur over a period of time or carry on for months and even years in some folks. Often people may feel as though eating more is helping to suppress their feelings. This could be because the body produces dopamine when we eat. Dopamine is associated with a “feel good or feel better” hormone.

Binge-eating disorder symptoms are not always the same for everyone.

Most common symptoms of binge eating

  1. Eating a large quantities of food even when not hungry.
  2. Eating so much that you feel uncomfortably full.
  3. Eating to the point of feeling nausea.
  4. Sense of guilt or disgust for eating as much food.
