Cornelia is a registered Nurse having gained her Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education. She worked for several years at the University Psychiatric Hospital in Bern. Her main activity was the physical and psychological care of patients with addiction in the acute withdrawal phase. During this period, Cornelia studied journalism and communication in Winterthur at the ZHAW. She completed her bachelor’s degree in the same year as her Executive Master’s program at IHECS Brussels / Belgium in ‘European Journalism’. She also holds the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in ‘Rhetoric and Moderation’.
On her return to Switzerland, she was trained as a press officer for the Swiss Army. In 2012, she served in a Peace Support Mission in Kosovo, after which she worked until 2017 as a communicator/media spokeswoman for the Swiss Armed Forces International Command.
In 2018, Cornelia fulfilled a childhood dream: she cared for sick and destitute orphans, children and their mothers at the ‘Institute for Indian Mother and Child’ in Calcutta, India. She also travelled solo to the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Italy during this period. Aside from caring for others and travel, her other passions are literature, music and sports.
As Relations Manager, Bio-R, Cornelia combines her medical expertise and abilities to care for and advise Bio-R clients on their needs.
