Rachel Stommel

After more than ten years of working in the travel and events industry, Rachel joined The Kusnacht Practice in August 2016 as Front Desk and Concierge Representative. Within a short period, in addition to her first position, she took on the role of HR, Finance and Corporate Service Manager alongside the CFO. Due to the growth of the firm, Rachel eventually shifted her primary focus to the position of Human Resources and Corporate Services Manager. She was promoted to Head of HR Administration & Recruiting in October 2020.

In this role, Rachel successfully built the HR department from the ground up and is responsible for all HR topics, first-level IT support and company insurance topics. In connection with this position, she completed her training as an HRSE Certified HR Assistant and holds a diploma as NBW Payroll Expert.

She discovered her interest in people and their cultures at an early age, and, as a result, has lived and travelled abroad for several years. The employee as a person is always at the centre of her work. Her great passion is labour law and its significance and impact on people as employees or employers. Pursuing this passion, she started her bachelor’s degree in business law at the ZHAW School of Management and Law in September 2020.

Her greatest motivation is to ensure that all stakeholders receive the same high standard of excellence from the Human Resources department, for which The Kusnacht Practice is renowned.

Rachel is fluent in English as well as her native Swiss-German.
