Treatment for Alcoholism
Our aim is to help you to become sober and abstinent
We adopt an approach that is discreet, non-judgemental and confidential. Our priority is to identify and treat the root causes of alcohol addiction. We look beyond the symptoms of alcoholism and examine the function of drinking in a client’s life. We then treat the entire person: mind, body and spirit.
We adopt four major pillars of treatment. These are psychotherapy, Biomolecular Restoration, complementary treatments, and spiritual counselling in the form of The 12 Steps. Medical supervision is required if a person suddenly stops drinking after a prolonged period. Withdrawal symptoms can include severe anxiety, hallucinations, convulsions or even, unless properly supervised, death. Clients therefore undergo a fully supervised withdrawal in safe surroundings, followed by a detox programme to rid the body of toxins. We also use saunas, special detox agents plus diet and exercise.
Alcohol abuse is often associated with biochemical and neurotransmitter imbalances. The chances of staying clean and sober are greatly enhanced if these imbalances addressed via Biomolecular Restoration. It is also important to assess psychological issues that can be influenced by work, relationships, social factors and / or traumatic experiences.
Clients are treated individually, never in groups. Our clinical team (comprising doctors, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, counsellors and nutritionists) and our complementary team (including yoga instructors, acupuncturists, masseurs and personal trainers) can therefore fully concentrate on your specific requirements.
Upon arrival, clients will be admitted to one of our partner hospitals for a full medical examination. You will then move to one of our luxury private residences with Swiss 5-star service, where you will have a live-in counsellor who is available on a 24/7 basis.
We provide the very best care and comfort. Our fees are typically between CHF 80,000 – CHF 120,000 per week, depending on the requirements of the individual. Fees are settled directly by the client (we do not work with insurance companies) and we can supply written quotations upon request.
The Kusnacht Practice services are not covered by Swiss health insurances. All costs are to be covered by the clients directly. Patients who are domiciled in Switzerland and are therefore mandatorily health insured may be reimbursed by their health insurance for medical services in accordance with the Federal Law on Health Insurance (KVG) and its implementing provisions.
