Dr. med. Eszter Kenézlői, PhD is a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Kusnacht Practice. She works with children, adolescents, and families, supporting them to reconnect with themselves and each other, and to recognise the strengths already present within them and in their family system. Her work focuses on fostering emotional resilience, personal growth, and healthier relationships.

Dr. Kenézlői studied medicine at Semmelweis University in Budapest. She has been board-certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry since 2010 and in Psychotherapy since 2013. For ten years, she worked at Vadaskert Children’s Hospital and Outpatient Clinic, where she co-founded and led the Adventure Therapy Department for adolescents and their families. She has also worked with young adults at Thalassa House, a leading psychotherapy and psychiatric rehabilitation institute in Budapest.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kenézlői integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness, family therapy, and adventure therapy. Her clinical work is further enriched by her personal experience with psychodynamic approaches.

She has served as a senior supervisor within the Hungarian Association for Behavioural, Cognitive, and Schema Therapies. Her PhD research explored emotion regulation and impulsivity, with a particular focus on their links to early life trauma. Between 2022 and 2024, she also coordinated a research project comparing traditional and nature - adventure based schema therapy.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Kenézlői enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, valuing shared adventures as opportunities for connection, learning, and growth as a family.

Dr. Kenézlői speaks Hungarian, English, and German fluently, and has conversational knowledge of French.
