Dr. Sorina Kunert is a pioneer in Preventive and Functional Medicine, with a career that began in gynecology and quickly expanded to endocrinology, early Anti-Aging Medicine, and ultimately a comprehensive, integrative medical approach. From the beginning, she has focused on identifying and treating underlying imbalances before they develop into chronic disease—an interdisciplinary perspective that was far ahead of its time.
Guided by scientific rigor and a deep commitment to individualized care, Dr. Kunert completed a Master of Science in Preventive Medicine and pursued extensive qualifications in Stress Medicine, Genetics, Clinical Environmental Medicine, Orthomolecular Medicine, and Dementia Prevention. She is one of the few practitioners in the DACH region certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), an internationally recognized and highly demanding certification.
As an entrepreneur, Dr. Kunert founded her first private medical practice in Berlin in 2002. Growing demand led to the expansion into a multidisciplinary center in 2009. In 2018, she opened her dedicated practice for Preventive and Functional Medicine in Potsdam, where she integrates advanced diagnostics with personalized, evidence-based treatment strategies.
Her academic and clinical background includes specialization in gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine, advanced training with leading international experts, and over two decades of experience in holistic patient care. Dr. Kunert is multilingual and consults in German, English, French, and Romanian.
